The Hustle are an acoustic duo with a big sound. Original members of Cork bands The Sunbeams and toneControl, Michael McFadden and David Tracey gigged across Ireland from 2001-2007 before life took them in different directions.  

Smiley honed his craft in Melbourne before returning to Cork in 2011, where he played lead guitar for acts like Quangodelic, Leopard Skin Jasper, The Hoots and Brother Sledge while studying at the Cork School of Music. Meanwhile, Mick brought The Sunbeams to Berlin, touring Europe extensively and diving into projects like Get Up Get Down, Silent Sleep and his electronic solo venture, Lovegun.  

Now reunited in 2025, The Hustle put a fresh spin on indie anthems and unexpected gems. Their shows are fun, unpredictable, and packed with energy: With two guitars, two voices, tasteful percussion and lots of groove, they focus on great songs played well. Honest, engaging and built around the chemistry of two seasoned performers.
